Alion Science Names Hayden to Board of Directors

Alion Science and Technology, an employee-owned technology solutions company, announced that Gen. Michael Hayden, USAF (Ret.) has joined the company's Board of Directors.
According to a release, Alion provides engineering, R&D, IT and operational services to government, commercial companies and international customers.
Hayden is a former Director of the National Security Agency, a former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and a former Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence. He served as Commander of the Air Intelligence Agency and as Director of the Joint Command and Control Warfare Center. He has also served in senior staff positions at the Pentagon, Headquarters U.S. European Command, National Security Council and the U.S. Embassy in the People's Republic of Bulgaria. Gen. Hayden also served as Deputy Chief of Staff, United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea, Yongsan Army Garrison, South Korea.
"We are fortunate that Gen. Hayden has joined Alion's board," said Bahman Atefi, Alion Chairman and CEO. "His experience and unique insights will help the company tremendously as we expand our service offerings to serve a growing range of customers."
Currently, Hayden serves as a principal at the Chertoff Group and is a Distinguished Visiting Professor at George Mason University School of Public Policy.
Alion Science and Technology provides support to the Department of Defense, civilian government agencies and commercial customers.
