AIRCOM International Launches LTE Fast Track Service at Mobile World Congress; New service enables operators to roll out financially viable LTE networks at the right time

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Mobile World Congress, Barcelona --AIRCOM has launched LTE Fast Track, a service for operators to ensure LTE networks are rolled out in the most cost-effective way possible.

In 2009, AIRCOM shared with the industry the cost of LTE for different rollout scenarios, concluding that operators in some parts of the world require a staggering CAPEX investment of $8 Billion USD to deploy LTE networks in the first 3-5 years*. Not having the right strategy and roadmap could cost operators an additional 20% to compensate for poor planning, roll out and launch of their LTE network.

In terms of operator OPEX, the figures look equally grim. We anticipate that the cost of running an additional technology such as LTE in a network could add another 30% to today's OPEX costs. However, taking the right steps at the right time could reduce this OPEX to as little as 9-12%, if the rightactions are taken at the right time - sooner rather than later.

Designed to minimise OPEX, and delay CAPEX spends until absolutely necessary, LTE Fast Track encompasses a range of AIRCOM solutions in one customised solution: --     AIRCOM's Vendor Management professional services, to ensure outsourced services mimimise OPEX, while ensuring operators retain control of their networks --     AIRCOM BDS - Understanding the business case and rationale for site sharing --     AIQ - 2/3G optimisation & spectrum allocation, giving operators the option to, for example, move all voice traffic to 2G, enabling an all-data 3G/HSPA/LTE solution.

--     Device Validation - LTE-ready devices and handsets. AIRCOM offers field and IOT testing to many of the world's leading handset manufacturers and operators --     SONata - Self-organising networks. AIRCOM is demonstrating it's new SON prototype for Automatic Neighbour Relations (ANR) brokering --     ASSET - The world's leading radio planning tool, now planning some of the world's first LTE networks, complete with financial analytics -- CONNECT - AIRCOM's LTE backhaul planning tool--     RANOPT - LTE drive and in-building post processing & reports for optimised LTE networks AIRCOM is already involved in the planning and consultancy of some of the world's first LTE networks, and LTE Fast Track delivers not only network data to aid decision making, but sound, financial business cases for different scenarios.

LTE Fast Track also gives operators a glimpse into the future of Self-Organising Networks (SON), showcasing the elements necessary for successful LTE network management.
