Ahmedabad online shoppers largest buyers of hair dyes: e-bay

People of Ahemadabad are the largest consumers of hair dyes in the country, revealed a survey conducted by e-bay on online shopping pattern.

Online shopping pattern of customers from the city shows, they are the largest consumers of hair dyes, e-bay director, marketing operations, Kashyap Vadapalli said today.

"Amongst other interesting shopping trends revealed about e-commerce from here are that foodie's in Ahmedabad buy international cuisine recipe books, CDMA phones and musical toys, binoculars, men kadas, books and belts," Kashyap said.



Over 60 per cent of books sold through e-bay platform were bought by Ahmedabad, it seems city is the biggest hub of avid readers in the country, he added.

City has the potential to export gems and jewellery as the global survey of shopping pattern shows it has been the major source for supply of women accessories, Kashyap said.


Another interesting fact about women online shoppers here is that they are balancing traditional values with more contemporary interests, ebay survey said.

Gujarat transacts e-commerce from 171 locations, and shoppers here have penchant for investing in collectibles such as British India Coins and Stamps, Indian Post-Independence Stamps and Asian Coins, census figures revealed.

Ahmedabad ranks seventh in the community list of e-bay shoppers.
