Amp customers can host data or applications both on-premises and on cloud-based service platforms such as IBM BlueMix, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

"Leveraging analytic results quickly across the exploding landscape of legacy and modern platforms and applications is one of the biggest challenges companies face today," said Aginity Co-founder and CTO Dan Kuhn. "We hear this from our customers – segment-leaders in retail, financial services, CPG, media and other industries. Because Spark enables the separation of computing from storage, operating on Spark enables Amp to more effectively deliver on our vision of analytics that are reusable enterprise-wide."

A 2016 survey found Spark being adopted in a broad range of industries, company sizes, an big data maturity levels, with the rate of adoption accelerating. More than half of the organizations surveyed had already implemented Spark, and 64% of those planned to increase their usage within the year.i

Amp provides a consistent analytic layer that enables the reuse of analytics and insights across organizations, geographies and applications. Through analytic reuse, companies can:

  • Improve the efficiency of analytics teams by 10 to 100 times and reduce analytics-related operating costs by up to 90%
  • Ensure consistent analytic results across BI platforms and end user tools
  • Integrate analytics with other enterprise systems, such as those supporting ERP, CRM, SCM, Marketing Automation and Risk Management

Amp's strong self-service capabilities make analytics accessible to people in a variety of business roles. In addition, by providing visibility into analytic lineage, Amp uniquely supports governance of a company's analytics throughout their lifecycle.
