SANTA CLARA, Calif. & SANTA ROSA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Agilent Technologies (News - Alert) Inc. (NYSE: A) and Centellax today announced they
have signed a definitive agreement for Agilent to acquire the assets of
Centellax's test and measurement business. Centellax, a privately held
company, designs and manufactures key technology and products such as
bit-error ratio testers and signal generators used for testing

The acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to
be completed in about two weeks. Financial details were not disclosed.
Centellax has established itself as a recognized supplier of test
products for high-speed communications. Agilent is the market leader in

Agilent's current position and ongoing investments to cover all
requirements in digital I/O and optical transceiver test from deep
