Adtell Integration Hires Telecom Expert Brian Proffit to Further Drive the Company's Commitment to Agile 'Smart City' Network Infrastructure

ALLENTOWN, Pa., May 16, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adtell Integration announces today it has hired industry veteran Brian Proffit as its Vice President of Business Development & Smart Cities Infrastructure. This new position illustrates the company’s continued commitment to expanding its nationwide Professional Services Division, most notably its support of agile ‘smart cities’.

In order to increase more available capacity, wireless network densification has triggered a series of evolutions in the bandwidth infrastructure market, each generating its own explosion of fiber-related expansion. The networks that will become the nation’s 5G backbone require a degree of agility that is not yet prevalent in the construction, design and engineering practices of network operators and their respective engineering and complex project management firms. Adtell’s extended Professional Services will address this need, with agile network training and fiber strategy planning, management and deployment services.

“Working side-by-side with our clients over the years, we have been able to help our network operators adapt to the evolving needs of today’s modern communications infrastructure,” says Adtell President Chris LaBonge. “Adtell addresses the demand for agile training and certification of field technicians through our Fiber School. Additionally, we have seen a 27% increase in our professional support services in the past three years alone, including an increase in fiber testing, fiber characterization and on-site support.  With the addition of Brian and our continued focus on ‘smart city’ infrastructure, we are further defining the needs for next-generation fiber-fed networks, including planning, deployment and management.”

“It’s an honor to join Adtell and its management team, particularly at such an exciting time,” continues Brian Proffit. “Adtell is well-positioned to capitalize on these explosive IoT and Smart City trends, considering the company’s years of expertise in fiber planning, training and deployment.  In order to manage this continued onslaught of bandwidth needs, our plan is to navigate through agility, adaptiveness and cooperative business relationships. We will further create and foster a marketplace of professional services, ranging from: infrastructure consulting; sighting guidance and management; mapping; fiber intelligence; carrier intelligence; training; support services; and project management.”

Bringing over 17 years of telecommunications strategy to the Adtell team, Mr. Proffit was previously Sr. Director of Strategic Business Development and Sr. Analyst at CTC Technology & Energy, a bandwidth infrastructure think-tank that serves the consulting and engineering needs of state and municipal governments and electric cooperatives. As such, Mr. Proffit leveraged his industry relationships and experience to coordinate efforts to engage carriers as partners in public bandwidth infrastructure projects. He has supported clients in analyzing carrier activity, conducting outreach to carriers, and planning and developing Public Private Partnerships (P3s). Prior to CTC, Mr. Proffit served as Director of Research & Education Solutions at Zayo Group. He also focused on government and regional carriers’ telecommunications needs in previous roles at Level 3, TelCove, RCN, and XO Communications.
