ADSL price ruling riles Telstra
Feb 14, 2012 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) has imposed a major condition on Telstra in return for approval of the telco's $A11bn deal with NBN Co. Telstra aims to vend cabling infrastructure into the new national broadband network being rolled out by the NBN Co entity, and to undergo a structural separation. However, the ACCC will first seek acceptance of its move to "declare" asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) wholesale broadband, and to cap prices.
