AdaptiveMobile Adds Former Nokia Siemens Executive as GM for the Americas
Apr 16, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
AdaptiveMobile, a provider of mobile security, which protects more than 800 million mobile subscribers globally, announced that former Nokia Siemens and Oracle executive Cody Bowman has joined the company as the General Manager for the Americas.
According to a release, in this role, Bowman will oversee the company's exponential growth in the region, including rapid customer and partner expansion.
Cody Bowman joins AdaptiveMobile at a time of rapid increases in smartphone usage by consumers and businesses in North and South America. In the region, the trend of employees using their personal mobile devices at work, "BYOD," has increased the level and types of threats across the operator and corporate networks. Simultaneously, the move toward 4G networks and subscriber demand for more data will increase vulnerabilities and risks associated with the IMS infrastructure and the IP nature of the network, which makes it a natural area for hackers and cybercriminals.
"We are very excited to have Cody Bowman join our executive management team, given his success at some of the biggest IT and telecommunications companies in the world," said Brian Collins, CEO, AdaptiveMobile. "The Americas continues to be a primary focus for AdaptiveMobile, and under Cody's leadership we have the management experience and expertise to drive significant expansion."
Prior to joining AdaptiveMobile, Cody Bowman was a Senior Vice President for the Business Solutions Organization division at Nokia Siemens Networks. Before that, Bowman was an Executive Director at Oracle and prior to that served as Executive Director and GM for the Americas at BEA Systems. Bowman is based in the Dallas area.
