Acision releases latest version of fuseMe smart communications client

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 04 July 2014 Release date- 03072014 - Acision, a global leader in mobile engagement services, today announces the launch of the latest version of its fuseMe app, an all-in-one, smart communications client for messaging, sharing and beyond.

As a white-label app, aimed at operators and enterprises, fuseMe by Acision builds on the company's previous release, launched at Mobile World Congress 2014, and combines all of today's over-the-top (OTT) communication capabilities such as chat, file sharing, video and VoIP, with more advanced, unique features such as in-app web browsing, split screen with drag and drop functionality, alongside 'Share my View' and the option to integrate WebRTC capabilities.

Fully RCS compliant, meeting standards set by the GSMA, fuseMe takes smart communications to another level by augmenting core features with multi-way group sharing, rich and pre-packaged content channels, a gaming catalogue, in addition to interoperability with SMS and MMS. Integration with SMS and MMS means chat or messaging can fall back to these services when a data or broadband connection is unavailable, while enabling users to interact with friends, contacts and colleagues not using fuseMe to ensure a truly global reach to all mobile users, regardless of handset type or network.

The fuseMe app is currently available on both iOS and Google Play app stores, but as a white-label offering primarily focused at the operator and enterprise communities, it can be adapted, customised and branded, with the option to select the features and services that most appeal to their customers or target audiences.

Commenting on fuseMe, Adolfo Hernandez, CEO at Acision, said: 'We've listened to the market, and to what consumers and businesses want, and developed fuseMe to provide simplicity and ease-of-use across a breadth of communication capabilities, while adding a truly rich, reliable and secure experience with smarter functionality and features. For an operator looking to recoup revenue lost to OTT players without major infrastructure investment, the combination of a pre-made app interface with the extensive back end and development infrastructure offered by Acision, makes perfect sense. The content channels and gaming catalogue, which can be offered as part of the service or as an add-on, provide new opportunities to segment users and monetise services through targeted marketing, advertising, sponsorship and premium content. The app can also be adapted for enterprises as an external or internal engagement tool.' Innovations in the user interface (UI) design have led to a number of features unique to Acision's fuseMe. The multi-dimensional split-screen allows users to engage with two separate conversations at once, or one conversation and content viewing with instant drag-and-drop sharing capabilities across the divide. The content can be delivered through the integrated browser, or via a subscriber channel service through RSS feeds, which in turn can be created and curated by operators or enterprises, offering additional value through consumer engagement, user segmentation, marketing and monetisation opportunities all within the app.

One of the key differentiators between fuseMe and other over-the-top (OTT) applications is the option to integrate WebRTC capabilities, enabling low-cost and reliable one-click communication on a person-to-person or application-to-person basis, ideal for businesses looking to directly interact with customers.

JF Sullivan, EVP Product Management and CMO, Acision, concluded: 'The latest generation of the Acision smart communications app will provide operators and enterprises with the opportunity to offer their customers and client bases a top quality OTT communications portal. In a highly competitive communication marketplace, having the edge and being able to offer consumers exactly what they want is key to success. With fuseMe and the multitude of customisation opportunities, we have taken smart OTT communications steps ahead of the rest and adaptable across many markets and industries.' To help operators and enterprises integrate fuseMe into their business. Acision has initiated a kick-start programme, to dig deeper into local markets, and assess how fuseMe can be launched successfully while boosting subscriber activation and retention. This programme will primarily cover four areas - discovery, definition, development and delivery - ensuring fuseMe is a success, no matter what market or industry it enters.
