Since its inception in 1999, Accordo has operated globally, reaching commercial enterprises in over 40 countries from its base in New Zealand. Now expanding into the US, Accordo is introducing its world-class tools and services to help software publishers address license compliance gaps among their end user customer base.

Dr. Chris Moxon, CEO, has appointed Sherri Erickson as VP Marketing to lead the US business operations, and Wayne Jackson as president of the corporation.

"The US leads the world in business innovation, and I am thrilled to take these important steps to bring Accordo's unique portfolio of services to the most influential market in the world," said Moxon.

Jackson stated, "Leading executives around the world are increasingly seeking innovative solutions to complex business problems such as global license compliance isues. US companies certainly have the most to gain by thinking differently and taking decisive action–and the most to lose if they do not."

According to BSA | The Software Alliance, there is $9.8 billion in unlicensed software in the US alone. The worldwide figure is $62.7B.  The BSA Global Software Survey here notes that the security threat of malware is the chief reason computer users worldwide avoid using unlicensed software. However, there is an awareness gap around software license policies that ultimately leads to widespread unlicensed usage.

"Software publishers have long recognized that a gap in software license compliance has a significant negative impact to the company's bottom line," Erickson said.  "It's particularly challenging for those publishers to reach their small and medium business customers in a cost-effective manner, and that's where Accordo is uniquely positioned to help."

Jackson is one of the founders of Accordo and serves on its Board of Directors.  His 30 years of experience in the IT industry encompass roles in management, sales, business analysis, data modeling and software development.  He is the principal designer and developer of Accordo's proprietary workflow automation system used globally.

Erickson joined Accordo following nearly 15 years at Microsoft.  She has deep knowledge and a global perspective of business opportunities provided through the protection of intellectual property rights, licensing programs, and the issues resulting from IPR and compliance gaps, including security, privacy and economic impact.
