Acacia Subsidiary, Research In Motion Sign Licensing Agreement

July 28, 2008 (FinancialWire) Contacts Synchronization Corp., a
subsidiary of Acacia Research Corp. (NASDAQ: ACTG) (Current Market Cap.
US$126.40 Mil.), has entered into a license agreement with Research in
Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) for rights to practice United States Patent No.
7,072,687.
The patent discloses and claims technologies for synchronizing
addresses between one device and another over a wireless communication
network. Terms of the agreement are confidential.
Acacia Research s subsidiaries develop, acquire, and license patented
technologies. Acacia Research s subsidiaries control 95 patent
portfolios, which include U.S. patents and certain foreign
counterparts, covering technologies used in a wide variety of
industries.
