1st Light-energy Cellphone Rolls Off Production Line

(SinoCast China Business Daily News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) BEIHAI, May 10, SinoCast -- S116 light-energy mobile phone, the world's first light-energy mobile phone, rolled out the production line in Beihai, Guangxi Province, on May 9.

As long as there is light, the solar-energy battery can charge itself. After 40-minute direct sunlight irradiation, the mobile phone can support 20-25 minutes of call.

Solar-energy battery covers the body of the mobile phone and can charge for its lithium battery at any time. Not only sunlight, direct irradiation by light in cloudy sky, even candlelight can also charge the battery.

The appearance of light-energy mobile phone indicates the breakthrough in China's application of solar energy.

In a short term, the light-energy mobile phone will not substitute traditional mobile phones, but it will awake consumers' consciousness about environmental protection and energy resources and lead the future development of mobile phone.
