Objectworld Communications announced Tuesday that its Unified Communications (News - Alert) Server now enables businesses to reap the benefits of unified communications as an adjunct to existing PBX systems.

The company explains that depending on system size, their UC Server can save businesses up to hundreds of thousands of dollars for large installations. Objectworld (News - Alert) UC Server also provides the productivity and administration benefits of Windows-based unified communications and leverages their investment in their existing PBX (News - Alert) systems.

President and Chief Executive Officer of Objectworld, David Levy said in a statement that a large number of businesses believe that they require a whole new VoIP system just to get unified communications.

He noted that Objectworld UC Server Standard Edition makes unified communications widely available as Windows-based software that easily integrates with most mainstream PBX systems without needing a new PBX system, new phones, or VoIP.

The company has also added additional feature enhancements to Objectworld UC Server such as support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008, which further enhances integration with the Microsoft platform, and interoperability with Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) desktop phones.

According to Objectworld reseller Teoma Systems’ Sales Vice President, Daniel Janer, finding the right solution for their customers is paramount at Teoma. He noted that with the new version of Objectworld UC Server, they can offer their customers an even broader range of unified communications solutions that suit their specific needs.

Janer added that if the customers want to keep their PBX and get the benefits of unified communications, they can provide them Objectworld UC Server Standard Edition. If they want to switch to VoIP, they can provide them Objectworld UC Server SIP Edition.

Objectworld Communications Corp. provides unified communications software solutions that enable small- and medium-sized businesses with Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows platforms to drive workforce productivity and improve organizational responsiveness. Last month, Norwood School selected Objectworld UC Server to provide unified communications to the faculty and staff members. Thanks to Objectworld, Norwood’s 120 faculty and staff members who teach 530 students can improve responsiveness and increase efficiency by accessing and responding to incoming messages from any location at any time of day.
