Nadanu's Online Donation Platform Simplifies Fundraising for Charities

By Ashok Bindra, TMCnet Contributor

With fundraising for charities and campaigns taking place online, TMC CEO Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) recently met with Getzy Fellig, CEO of Nadanu, a startup that has created a payment gateway to help charities raise funds in the virtual environment. It was part of  TMCnet’s “On the  Road” video series in San Jose, Calif.  Welcoming Fellig to TMC’s (News - Alert) “On the Road” newsroom, Tehrani asked Nadanu’s CEO to tell TMCnet readers about his company.

Fellig replied that Nadanu has created a tool that allows charities to easily raise funds from members or donors online, through social media and through mobile platform.

Further explaining Nadanu’s platform, Fellig said that, “What makes us unique are two major differentiators.”

First, he added, “Our platform gives them a tool that allows them to collect donations from every single environment, no matter where that individual is.” Second, he continued, “We have created an interactive environment for online donors. We take the real world experience and put it into the virtual environment.”

Nadanu’s Push-K platform is modeled after a traditional charity coin box, and donors can click to drop virtual coins into their eCharityBox and watch it fill up. Once the box reaches an intended amount, the box is emptied and the donor’s credit card is charged. An automated tax receipt is sent via email. Payment options include Authorize.net and PayPal (News - Alert), as per the company website.

In essence, Fellig said that Nadanu has simplified the online fundraising process for charities. When asked, how does your company make money, Fellig said that, “We charge transaction fee for processing of funds. We act more as a bank.”

Finally, Tehrani wanted to know what was coming next from Nadanu. Fellig replied, “We are introducing a line of payment gateways outside of charities space.”

“We are taking the same concept of accessibility to other market,” asserted Fellig.
