Where Electronics Are Pushing Industries Forward

The electronics industry is the only sector that had the advantage of improving its technologies in the pandemic. COVID19 lockdown and the new terms of working and learning have increased the sales figure of electronics products manifold.

Additionally, the electronics industry has helped various industries to push their work during the pandemic. New inventions in the electronics industry helped multiple businesses to carry out their work efficiently and effectively. Multiple factors and information related to where electronics are pushing industries forward are explained below.

Remote Learning and Working

The trend of remote learning and working during the pandemic has increased the sales of consumer electronics tremendously. COVID19 showed us the new ways of invention in the electronics sector. Besides remote learning and work, the entertainment and gaming industries have also seen a boom in their figures. This means the electronics industry has a pretty good future ahead and is going to flourish even more.

Reports have suggested that 2021 will be a game-changing year towards the future of working locations, and the world will see technological advancement in electronics as they have never seen before. The introduction of new technologies like 5G, advancement in-vehicle technology, and Artificial Intelligence will pave the way for introducing more consumer electronics in the future. The upcoming technologies will consist of massive size OLED TVs, faster computers, and more IoT-enabled devices.

Moreover, it can be said that the electronics industry was the only industry that performed well in the pandemic period also. The demand for consumer electronics was at its peak during this time. This gradual growth in the electronics industry will continue because the work from home or learning from home culture will stay for a while now.

Robotics In Industrial Manufacture

In the manufacturing industry, the use of robots has a very significant role. Robots were invented during the Industrial Revolution (News - Alert) 3.0 when the manufacturing industries needed to produce much more than what they were already making. The rapid growth in the production units became a reality when the industries started using robots for such work, which were considered risky for human beings. At the same time, robots were mechanical labourers who did their job quickly and very precisely.

Ever since the introduction of robots, scientists kept on researching for more and more possibilities in robotics. The challenge for scientists today is to make robots do their work without any human support. They want to build robots that have human attributes. Once this becomes a reality, the robots will have the ability to handle the task with more efficiency and can produce the products at a much faster pace.

Additionally, electrification in the automotive manufacturing industry is also becoming mainstream. There are many types of automation systems that are used in the automotive industry. They depend on the nature of the tasks which robots are going to perform. Furthermore, numerical control is also used in the automation process. It is a form of programmable automation in which a machine is controlled by numbers. Earlier, the use of number control was limited to manufacturing tools, but with more development, it is now being used in many other fields. Electronics assembly, engineering drawings, and flame cutting machines are the few areas where numerical controls are used in modern times.

Medical Devices

The medical sector has been using electronic devices for all the essential work for a very long time now. Many industries are solely focusing on the production of medical equipment only because the demand never decreases, nor will it in the future. The medical sector produces products like heart rate monitors, pacemakers, defibrillators, drug-releasing pumps, hearing aids, and others. These products are the most demanding products in the medical sector.

Additionally, there are now some new additions also like using robots and lasers for surgeries. The use of robots in surgeries is now widespread. But still, they can not work independently, and the risk of failure still persists. They have mainly been used for assistance tasks during surgery or in the less complicated ones. Other than robots, the application of lasers in the medical sector is also very prevalent. Moreover, lasers are used for cancer, eye, dermatology, dentistry, and nerve stimulation. The practise of using lasers has increased manifolds in recent times due to their accurate and safe results.

However, the role of electronics in the medical industry doesn’t end here, and it is getting evolved more and more in the form of health wear technology. This new technology will let you know about all your health vital through the products that you wear. It can be either clothes, shoes, headphones or the cap that you wear. This leap in technology in the health care sector is going to be very significant.

E-Waste

Waste management is the biggest problem on the globe. Humans produce a massive amount of waste every year, either dumped in the oceans or burnt. That too is happening at alarming levels and causing harmful effects like increasing carbon levels and decreasing water levels. E-waste is equally responsible for this planet's degradation. Reports by the World Economic Forum say that e-waste has a 2% portion in overall solid waste and produces 70% of the chemical waste.

These figures are of significant concern. As the development of technology benefits us, at the same time, it also makes us dependent. Not only human but ocean life and animal life is at risk too. They are facing the problems which humans cause.

Nevertheless, this can be stopped, the amount of waste produced can be decreased, and the three Rs is the best formula for that. Reduce, Recycle, Reuse can help us in saving our planet from destruction. Many big tech companies like Apple (News - Alert) have already started using recycled components to build their products. Further, Apple also claims that they don’t use hazardous chemicals in their devices anymore. This kind of initiative is the only possible solution to protect us all from catastrophic situations in the future.
