Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, going out is a little different from what we’re used to. We’re advised to avoid crowded places as much as we can. Watch a movie in your own home cinema
Although the cinema’s are open again, many people don’t feel comfortable enough going there. Luckily, nowadays you can easily build a cinema in your own living room. For a few dollars per month you can join a streaming service such as Netflix, Disney (News - Alert)+ or Amazon Prime, so you can instantly watch all kinds of series and movies on your own screen.
Additionally, if you want the real cinema experience you need a large screen. With a good quality beamer and projection screen (Dutch: projectiescherm), you can easily bring cinema-quality to your home. Are you afraid that your living room is too small for a beamer? Then you can make use of a mini beamer or a ‘short throw beamer’. With the latter you can easily achieve a large projection from a very short distance! Put some soft blankets on the floor and buy some snacks and beverages and your indoor movie night is ready to get started!
Go out for dinner in your own kitchen
Don’t you feel comfortable enough to go out for dinner? Then you can organise a romantic candle light dinner at home for you and your partner. Or organise a fancy dinner and invite your closest friends. You can cook a fancy dinner yourself, but you can also order a 3-course dinner from a nearby restaurant directly to your kitchen. Due to the corona crisis, many (fancy) restaurants now also deliver culinary multi course dinners at your doorstep. Just make sure that you buy the right wine for your meal. The best wine is served at the right temperature. If you store the wine in a (built-in) wine climate cabinet (Dutch: inbouw wijnklimaatkast), you can always enjoy the wine at the right temperature.
Play poker in your own casino
Do you like to go to the casino every now and then? Why not bring the casino to your own home? There are many companies where you can rent casino games, from classic roulette to blackjack tables. Invite your closest friends and challenge them to become the champion of the game. And remember, taking part is more important than winning!
