4. Flex Choice Intro Plan
If you’re not sure if Stream Energy is right for you, the Flex Choice Intro is the perfect plan to try out the company’s service. You pay 14.6 cents per kilowatt hour, but this is offset by the fact that the terms are variable. The truth is that the use of electricity by residential and commercial users accounts for 30 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. If we can take control of our emissions by offsetting this with purchases of renewable energy, such as hydro, solar, and biofuels, then we can effectively cancel out the equivalent amount of carbon being generated and released into the atmosphere.
This is where the Stream Green Eco+ plans are great. When you elect to switch your compatible plan over to Eco+, Stream Energy will then purchase 1,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy on your behalf. You can switch over to the Stream Green plans at any time, as long as you’re on a compatible plan already, such as the Green and Clean 12 plans.
