The company was started by Septimus Jennings who turned his hobby of repairing bicycles into a fully fledged business as he started to sell bicycles at a premise in Morpeth as he employed 6 more people to work with him. After the company is registered it started a partnership with Ford Motor Company (News - Alert) and quickly became one of the first dealers in the country to be appointed by them to sell Ford’s cars. During the 80’s the company invested and expanded in many areas throughout the country and during the early 90’s Alan Bentley takes over the company as the managing director then later on Jennings wins the most prestigious awards Chairman awards for delivering outstanding customer service with high quality cars. It continued to win major awards in the automotive business and became a powerhouse in the automotive world.
