Transbeam's Intelligent Network Monitoring Gets 2016 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award

By Frank Griffin, Contributing Writer

The growth and adoption rate of IP telephony continues to increase as the platform delivers more options for users. This growth now requires monitoring solutions to ensure the network that is delivering the service is working as designed. As a managed service provider of carrier grade data, voice, cloud, events connectivity and professional IT services, one of the solutions Transbeam (News - Alert) provides is Intelligent Network Monitoring, which was given TMC’s 2016 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award for the in-depth visibility it provides into IT infrastructure.

INTERNET TELEPHONY has been highlighting the latest advances in IP communications while recognizing service providers with innovative solutions by giving them its annual award. For 2016, the magazine selected Transbeam's Intelligent Network Monitoring service because it empowers users with enterprise-class network operations center without the cost associated with owning and operating one.

In giving this award to Transera, Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC (News - Alert), said: "In the opinion of our distinguished judges, Intelligent Network Monitoring has proven to be among the best communications and technology solutions available on the market. I look forward to continued innovation from Transbeam."

Supporting the data services companies offer to their customers is becoming a differentiator because of the increased reliance of IP communications. The MPLS solutions, carrier grade Ethernet, fiber, hosted PBX (News - Alert) service and cloud solutions Transbeam provides are now backed by its next generation network and Intelligent Network Monitoring service.

This platform provides transparency into networks and automates several network operations services to improve response times and efficiencies. It allows organizations to manage orders and repairs while maintaining the physical, virtual, wired and wireless network infrastructures. Users can now monitor anywhere from five to 8,000 devices and view trouble-tickets and status of orders in real-time, receive network alerts, generate performance reports, view live network activities and more.

Intelligent Network Monitoring can diagnose issues before end-users experience any problem with its real-time network analytics. This gives users valuable data points on bandwidth utilization, packet loss, latency, alerting and dynamic baselines. It performs all these functions with the goal of alerting performance anomalies in advance of end user impact preventing any negative events that could affect the organization, capacity network planning to manage bandwidth usage before issues arise and custom performance metrics or ability to collect customer performance indicators from any network device.

"We are privileged that TMC has awarded Transbeam this distinctive award for our network monitoring and management tool that we invested a significant amount of resources and launched a year ago," stated Avner Nebel, Chief Operating Officer for Transbeam.  "The objective of developing this single gateway monitoring tool was to serve as a value-add service to our partners and customers to support the data and voice services they purchase from us," added Nebel.
