Telecommunications provider GVTC has decided to upgrade and augment its technology through a partnership with Synacor (News - Alert), a trusted technology, services, and revenue partner for communications, video and internet providers. In particular, GVTC will deploy Synacor’s full suite of services, which will include the launch of Synacor’s End-to-End Video Solutions.

As part of the multiyear agreement, GVTC will also implement Synacor's Native Mobile Apps, integrated with Bill Pay and My Account functions, along with Synacor's Search & Discovery Metadata Platform for Multiscreen TV, and an upgrade to Synacor's newest generation portal. Finally, GVTC will renew Zimbra (News - Alert) Email services with Synacor.

Recently, Synacor acquired Zymba, a provider of open source messaging and email software. The acquisition makes Synacor the market leader in the US ISP email solutions space.

Aside from in-home and out-of-home advanced video services, the company will deploy a few customer service-focused offerings. These include Synacor’s newest generation portal, providing a modern interface and access to customer care features, as well as its Native Mobile Start App and email.
