Coming off a Good Year, NetSapiens Hopes to Keep Momentum Going

By Rory J. Thompson, Web Editor

With technology exploding everywhere, the smart companies are sensing opportunity and jumping on it. One such company is NetSapiens (News - Alert), which according to its website bills itself as Smart Network Application People.

“While homosapiens stood out with their superior intelligence, NetSapiens shine even brighter with a keen understanding of communications networks,” the company explains on its homepage. “NetSapiens are the next step in evolution; creating and delivering the communication applications of the future.”

Keeping up that momentum, Anand Buch,  Co-Founder & CEO at NetSapiens, sat down with TMCnet Group Editorial Director Erik Linask (News - Alert) at ITEXPO in Miami recently. Buch was asked what he felt was currently driving interest in broader feature sets these days.

“There are a couple of things,” Buch explained. “One is that the end user is getting much more savvy. Plus communications costs continue to commoditize; and you have the growth of your proxy large providers,” he continued. “So, from a competitive perspective, people realize that they need to compete with that.”

Linask then wondered if perhaps one aspect of market growth could be attributed to a more knowledgeable user base?

“The base is more comfortable with ‘mixed-device usage’,” Buch said. “People are less resistant to technology as a whole.”

Buch knows what he’s talking about. NetSapiens was incorporated in 2002 and is headquartered in San Diego. It’s a growing, agile and highly efficient organization of seasoned veterans with experience in the industry that dates back to the early 1980s. The founding members’ history has included design and development of enterprise and carrier grade VoIP platforms and successful deployment of these platforms across multiple markets segments including: Domestic and International Governments, Rural Enterprises, SMBs, Fortune 500 companies, and Tier 1-3 Carriers.

Based on his extensive background, Buch was asked what potential clients are looking for today.

“What we hear from our clients is mobility, mobility, mobility,” he said. “They tell us, ‘We want more functionality than we have today.’ What we’re showing at the show is first glimpses of our mobile applications.”

Buch had more insights to share; his complete interview can be seen here:
