How a Catalog-Driven Approach Can Reduce Order Fallout

Product catalogs help determine the types of products an operator can sell, to whom they can sell, for what price and under what terms. It also allows operators to quickly define new products or adjust existing ones, and respond to competitive offerings. An integrated product catalog-driven approach can also help operators reduce their order fallout significantly.



Order fallout occurs when an order fails during processing. This could happen for a number of reasons, such as when a phone that is purchased is not available with a specific plan the customer requested or a when a service that was ordered is not available for the customer's address. The issue might even require a truck roll, which can bevery expensive. Our customer research has shown that up to 30 percent of orders fail when an integrated product catalog is not implemented.
