Comings & Goings: Tech Execs on the Move

It’s been a busy week in tech headlines with hellos and goodbyes. Let’s look at this week’s tech execs on the move.

From the Apple (News - Alert) rumor mill comes iPhone interface creator Greg Christie who is apparently leaving the company.



According to the news report, Christie leaves after an alleged altercation with Apple’s Jonathan Ive, senior vice president of design. Christie has been with Apple for quite some time, and under Tim Cook as CEO, this isn’t the last change we’ll likely see, as there have been several evolutions since Cook took over.

Vonage is looking like it will get a new CEO by the end of this year. The company’s current CEO, Marc Lefar (News - Alert), will resign due to “personal reasons,” leaving the seat vacant with no new names coming out of the hat just yet.

Lefar joined Vonage as the Chief Executive Officer in July 2008 and plans to help the company find the right person for the role.

Glopoint saw two new board member nominations this week, James H. Cohen and Patrick Lombardi, both of whom are anticipated to grow Glowpoint’s (News - Alert) mark in video collaboration.

Two previous board members of Glowpoint have resigned; Jon DeLuca and Grant Dawson. The two new nominees are expected to fill these seats.

TokBox (News - Alert) said hello to its new CEO as its old CEO moved into another position.

According to the report, “Scott Lomond—formerly the company's vice president of marketing and business development—would step into the CEO slot, while the company's current CEO, Ian Small, would instead be chairman of the board, carrying on with his CEO duties and position at Telefonica (News - Alert).”
