Telinta, snom Showcase Expertise at ITEXPO and Beyond

By Alisen Downey, TMCnet Web Editor

Running an effective VoIP business is no small task, and as technologies continue to evolve, it has become increasingly clear that companies need a diverse but unified array of communications channels in order to succeed. Communication is vital to any business, as it is the way information and ideas are shared, enabling employees to collaborate with each other and with clients, customers and partners outside the company. And in a fast-paced industry like VoIP, it’s even more important that such communications be transferred as quickly and efficiently as possible.

snom, a developer of IP business phones, knows a thing or two about how to run a great VoIP business—and how to best utilize unified communications (UC). The company has made significant investments in IP-based UC, and considering the popularity of its VoIP and Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync-based UC edition phones, this should come as no surprise to those in the industry.

This week, executives, technology buyers, sellers, resellers and manufacturers from companies of all sizes and industries will have the chance to check out snom’s SIP-based IP business phones firsthand, as the company will be exhibiting at ITEXPO in Miami, at booth No. 426. Attendees of this well-known business technology tradeshow will get to see a new snom product as well, the 715 IP Phone (News - Alert), which snom will debut at the four-day event.

Telinta Inc., a provider of cloud-based switching and billing solutions, will also be present at ITEXPO (News - Alert) this week, and on Friday, Telinta’s Anthony Stiso will be moderating a session titled, “Putting Together the Key Pieces for a Successful VoIP Business,” from 10 to 10:45 a.m. The session’s focus will be on helping telecom service providers face the challenges of integrating many diverse services, in order to build a successful VoIP business.

During the panel, a number of key areas will be outlined, meant to help give companies a sort of checklist with which to improve their unified communications. These key areas include origination, termination, switching, billing customer management, as well as complementary services such as SMS and mobile top-up services. To win and retain customers, all of these elements should function cohesively together.

Telinta and snom will be teaming up, and combining their years of expertise and experience in the industry, to present a webinar geared toward Internet telephony service providers (ITSPs), Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. EST. The event will cover new developments in Internet telephony that may help ITSPs better serve their enterprise customers. snom will discuss trends in IP phones, including auto configuration firmware for its SIP-based VoIP desktop phones, which enables fast, streamlined and native connectivity to Telinta’s provisioning servers for out-of-the-box configuration in multi-site deployments.
