Beamz by Flo Unveils Compatibility with Apple TV

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

Despite the fact that it can be a rather useful technology, until recently, there simply weren’t that many devices or companies that have been taking advantage of Apple TV and AirPlay (News - Alert). While that technology has been one that has almost exclusively been used by Apple, other companies are beginning to jump on board. Beamz is the latest company that has unveiled a solution that will take advantage of Apple (News - Alert) TV and AirPlay in order to let people play music over their television or top quality speakers.

By pairing with AirPlay, Beamz devices can stream music from its software applications to HDTV audio outputs that can then direct what music can be played using an iOS device like the iPhone (News - Alert) or iPad. Even more important for people who are using programs like Beamz by Flo, is that they can make their own versions of their favorite songs and then record and share them with their friends.

Now sharing those songs can include playing them at a party, using Apple TV and their HDTV speakers. "We are pleased to announce our compatibility with AirPlay via Apple TV," said Charlie Mollo, CEO of Beamz Interactive. "Using Beamz with an HDTV showcases the fantastic social dimension of our device with friends and family. This will further enhance the great music experience of our Beamz by Flo product line by allowing users to enjoy the fun and excitement of interactive music in their living rooms.”

The Beamz by Flo solution allows users to create and edit songs in a truly unique way. By moving their hands through laser beams, users can edit and cut their favorite songs the way they want. The solution comes with 29 songs built in and there are ways to purchase even more songs along the way. A new feature of the solution will allow for music videos to be played on HDTVs using Apple TV and AirPlay. Users can then adjust and edit the songs that accompany the videos using their hands.
