Adtran Continues to Innovate with Total Access 900e Release

By Carrie Schmelkin, Director of Content Marketing, Content Boost

The sun is just starting to rise here in Las Vegas, Nev., for day three of ITEXPO (News - Alert) 2013, but for the leading global provider of networking and communications equipment, Adtran, it’s been nothing but sunny skies and excitement over the past week—especially since today the company announced the release of its Total Access 900e Gen 3 series of Ethernet and Multi-T1 IP Business Gateways.

The Total Access 900e series, which is specifically designed for carrier SIP/MGCP VoIP networks, is touted as the industry’s leading IP Business Gateway (News - Alert). Boasting robust routing and voice features, the latest iteration of the series affords highly reliable, cost-effective services ranging from SIP trunking to hosted PBX (News - Alert).

While the Total Access 900e series has been widely consumed since 2005, this latest generation features next-generation technology, higher performance, more memory and more features to support the bandwidth, applications and services today’s businesses demand, explained Christine Holder, product manager of Adtran’s enterprise networks division, at ITEXPO.

“The reason for refresh was our customers needed higher performance products and we were reaching the end of life components for our products and didn’t want to strand our customers with a well-adopted product; we wanted them to be able to use the same product,” Holder told TMCnet at ITEXPO Monday.

“This latest release shows our commitment to our customers, specifically service provider customers,” she added. “We have a strong partnership with them and have worked very closely with them to allow them to take their service to a new level.”

As a leading telecommunications vendor founded in the 80s, Adtran has maintained its competitive edge for the last three decades because of its ability to evolve and carve forward with technological innovation. Specifically, since its inception, the company has completely transformed from a carrier transmission provider to a carrier and enterprise network industry leader. Moreover, the company has remained steadfast in its commitment to enabling cloud connectivity, enterprise communications and mobility.

At ITEXPO this week, taking place from Aug. 26-29 in Las Vegas, Adtran is spreading the word about its latest generation of the Total Access 900e series, tapping its high performance and enhanced feature sets. Moreover, it is looking to spread the word that Adtran remains dedicated to making a big splash in the hosted VoIP and SIP trunking spaces by working with its customers to enhance cloud connectivity solutions.

“This is the pivotal point where folks are migrating to IP,” Holder said. “There’s a maturity in VoIP and there is finally more trust in it. We are focused on launching service provider solutions and taking our customers to the next level and helping them grow their services.”

“Because of the features we have in our robust set of solutions, we are able to offer reliable solutions,” she added. “We are a trusted partner specifically in the service provider space. Folks know our name and we are a good value for the features that they need.”

Day three at ITEXPO is just beginning! To hear more from Adtran, be sure to catch Jeff Wissing, senior product manager, for a session titled “Business Benefits of Virtualized UC,” taking place at ITEXPO. Wissing and fellow panelists will be discussing why businesses are increasingly leveraging a wide range of integrated communications solutions to drive top-line revenue, while optimizing automation efficiencies to lower operational costs. The session takes place from 9-9:45 am in the Mobility Track.
