Partnerpedia Releases New Version of Enterprise AppZone Product

By Kasey Schefflin-Emrich, TMCnet Contributing Writer

Enterprise app store and marketplace solutions provider Partnerpedia has released a new version of its Enterprise AppZone product that is intended to help companies better manage and access their apps, content and services across multiple endpoints.

With the latest release of Enterprise AppZone, companies will be provided with a fully integrated enterprise app store experience that will enable users to explore and obtain information on all devices, whether it be a mobile phone, laptop, tablet or desktop. In addition to universal endpoint access, new features include upgraded user designs with the consistency and appeal of consumer-style app stores; the ability to rate and review applications; multi-faceted search capabilities that reduces the amount of time needed to access services, content and apps; and support for mobile, cloud and desktop applications. While these added features are designed with end-user productivity in mind, they also offer IT managers great control over its policies and procedures.

"With the consolidation of mobile, cloud and desktop apps, companies are entering a new era of end-user computing," Mark Sochan, CEO of Partnerpedia, said in a statement. "We are delivering on the full potential of the enterprise app store paradigm as the portal for all IT applications and services. Instead of the traditional top-down, limited portal models of the past, it's now about conducting business anywhere, anytime using the most efficient tools available to the user."

Earlier this year, Partnerpedia highlighted the potential Enterprise AppZone has for effectively managing mobile applications among educational organizations. Some benefits that schools can receive from using the product include: support for BYOD, organization owned and shared devices; app policy and assignments based on individual users or device profiles; support for PO, credit card and volume app purchasing; app auditing and license management; and curated app store for educational apps.
