DecisionPoint Systems Now Supports iOS

By Nicole Spector, Contributing Writer

Since becoming an authorized Apple (News - Alert) reseller in December of last year, DecisionPoint Systems has been well on its way to becoming an Apple pro.

The company, which designs, develops, deploys and maintains enterprise class mobile computing solutions that connect mobile workforce to one another and to one's enterprise system(s), completed the required Apple Sales Training in March, earning the title of "Apple Sales Professional.”

DecisionPoint Systems has now officially extended its iOS support. It now migrates its APEXWar Field Service solution to the iOS platform.

APEXWare Field Service is the first of three mobile applications in the APEXWare family to support iOS. APEXWare is a mobile-centric field service application that increases field service productivity, improves first-time fix rates, and maximize parts availability. Previously, it already supported Android (News - Alert) and Windows Mobile.

All the APEXWare Field Service business functions are now available on the iPad, including Work Order Management, Parts Inventory Management, Parts Ordering, Asset Management, Time and Labor Reporting, and Custom Forms Data Collection

DecisionPoint has offices in three U.S. locales including Irvine, Calif., Edison, N.J. and Tulsa, Okla.

The firm partners with a number of companies for key components of its solution offerings, maintaining relationships with Motorola (News - Alert), Datamax-O'Neil, Wavelink Corporation, Zebra Technologies, Panasonic Solutions Company and Airwatch.

DecisionPoint's value centers on empowering mobile workers to improve their workforce productivity, customer service level and stimulating overall growth.

Greg Henry, the vice president of product management at DecisionPoint Systems, suggests that Apple has helped pave the way for the company's success.

“Apple products have enabled DecisionPoint to develop new mobile solutions, enter new markets and reach a larger group of enterprise mobile users,” Henry said.

“We are very excited about our future with Apple as their products are enabling a larger population of mobile workers to leverage the benefits that mobile computing provides,” he added.
