New Security Solutions by Comguard

By Nicole Spector, Contributing Writer

The Dubai-based Comguard, a value added distributor of networking and security products across the Middle East-Africa (MEA) region, has launched a line of security solutions: gateprotect Secure Web Gateway (News - Alert) (SWG).

The new solutions are integrated with open source CMS WebGUI and provide an extra layer of security in the networks of enterprises so that they can readily respond to security threats that occur from working on cloud, web-based applications and increase social media interactions.

SWG aims to fortress an enterprise against malware, and integrates technologies that spot and curb unwarranted data traffic as a way of limiting risk. It also allows a business to monitor social media to minimize the spam that plagues those channels.

Comguard's network security solution relieves the firewall within complex networks, ensuring efficient performance that isn't bogged down as it may be otherwise. It also extends support to Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol version 6 (Ipv6).

Amarjot Dhanjal, the senior business development manager at Comguard, suggests that SWG, which was refined by German engineering, will provide using enterprises with the maximum level of protection against any IT security threat and breach.

“[This] new line of security solutions addresses the manifold and steadily evolving threats that enterprises face today in the region,” Dhanjal said.

Comguard has brought a list of security enforcement products to the MEA region including the 3rd generation of gateprotect next generation firewalls GPZ 1000, GPZ 2500 and GPZ 5000 - technologies that provide companies with user-friendly solutions with redundant components for top-notch security along with strong performance.

The company has also released a RAID system that ensures high failure safety.

Sudarshan S. Avadhany, a sales director at gateprotect says that these are Comguard's latest innovations, all of which were recently showcased at CeBIT (News - Alert) 2013 in Hanover, Germany.

“We are sure that with our new range of security solutions, we will be able to serve the interest of enterprises in the region,” said Avadhany. “These solutions will also broaden the avenues for our channel partners to enhance their revenues and margins.”
