Get Satisfaction Teams with Badgeville to Join Gamification and Community Platforms

By Colleen Lynch, TMCnet Contributor

“Gamification” may sound like a made-up word, but the term is meaningful to companies like Badgeville and Get Satisfaction (News - Alert), as it denotes the wide range of gaming solutions these companies provide in one word.

As the premier gamification platform worldwide, Badgeville is looking to expand its customer base by partnering with Get Satisfaction, the popular community platform for delivering engaging customer experiences.

“The Badgeville partnership enables Get Satisfaction customers to offer relevant rewards and statuses to customers who engage with the platform, share and find information, and participate in the brand’s community,” explained Chandar Pattabiram, vice president of worldwide marketing for Badgeville.

Using Badgeville’s award-winning Behavior Platform, the company’s new customers from Get Satisfaction will be able to leverage game mechanics, Badgeville’s strong reputation, and top social dynamics to deliver the best customer experience available within their respective communities.

“Badgeville’s gamification platform enables companies to further increase engagement across their Get Satisfaction communities, and reward customers in their communities for specific user behaviors and contributions,” added Azita Martin (News - Alert), vice president of marketing for Get Satisfaction.

Some customers from Get Satisfaction that will now have direct access to Badgeville’s platform are Intuit (News - Alert), Kellogg’s, Sonos and Koodo Mobile.

Nathan Roth, a community strategist at Koodo, commented on his company’s involvement; “We use our community to improve the customer experience and reduce operating costs. Badgeville and Get Satisfaction provide world-class offerings for both gamification and customer communities, allowing us to engage with our customers in a very effective way while positively impacting our bottom line.”

The idea is to focus business investments on customer experience, so that rather than offering certain features and being done with it, companies instead are making sure users are consistently using the technology and staying involved.

Together, Badgeville and Get Satisfaction are showing a renewed interest in increasing customer loyalty and engagement, as well as upping their support response rates.

“Using both Badgeville and Get Satisfaction, we have been able to grow our peer-to-peer support response rate by 557 percent year-over-year,” said Roth.

The Get Satisfaction community is available for purchase now from this link.
