ANPI Announces Don Kinison as Vice President of Business Sales

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

When it comes to the telecommunications business, you need to adapt or perish. The Springfield, Illinois telecom company ANPI appears to have decided it needs to adapt by changing over a couple of positions in its upper management. The latest move by the company is bringing in a veteran in the telecom industry in Don Kinison who will serve as the company’s Vice President of Business Sales.

The company continues to seemingly rebuild from the ground up, as Kinison is the second new member of the company’s upper management to be announced in the last week. The company is also doing quite a bit of building strictly on the business side with its recent acquisition of Zone Telecommunications. Shortly after the purchase of that company, ANPI decided it needed to bring in Ron Bailey as its Senior Vice President in charge of business solutions.

ANPI’s CEO Dave Lewis has previously explained what his vision of the company is and why they are going through this particular change saying, “As we started our initial planning to dramatically increase the focus, energy and investment devoted to our business services segment, we committed to assembling a world class team.”

The hiring of Kinison seems to be just another move in that direction with Ronnie Bailey himself certainly being on board with the hire once it was made official. “Don was a perfect fit for ANPI. Our game-changing approach to our business solutions product offering, coupled with Don’s ability to build a successful sales organization, helps ensure ANPI’s future success.” Bailey said in the statement announcing the hire.

Kinison boasts 15 years in the telecommunications a wireless industry. Among the companies that Kinison has worked for are Cbeyond, Time Warner (News - Alert), CellularOne and Western Wireless. He spent the last eight years with Cbeyond where he had a large role in developing that company’s markets in Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Houston and Chicago.
