Comcast Provides Hotels with New Communications Suite

By Robbie Pleasant, TMCnet Contributor

The next time you stay at a hotel, you might be enjoying a new product suite from Comcast (News - Alert).

The Comcast Business Hospitality is designed and customized for the hospitality industry, offering Ethernet, Internet, video and voice services to provide guests with an improved experience, while the front desk and back office workers find work easier and less expensive.

Thanks to the Comcast Business Hospitality, hotel guests can access the Internet with a fast and reliable connection, as well as quality voice services and up to 60 HD television channels per room.

When there’s increased demand for whatever reason, it can be scaled to meet it.

Included in the suite is Ethernet, Internet, HD television service, phone lines with call management and advanced business functions, and next-generation voice services. A hotel room can become as effective and connected as an office, which is always essential for the employee on the go.

“The needs of today’s modern traveler are changing, and high-performance connectivity is now just as important as price, location and loyalty programs when selecting a hotel,” said Alexandra Sewell, senior director of Hospitality Services and Cross-Segment Verticals at Comcast Business Services. “Hospitality decision makers must adapt to support this trend, and Comcast Business Hospitality offers them an easy way to do so by packaging scalable, cutting-edge technology with a fast and reliable network – without complicating back-end operations. In an extremely competitive market, this is a vital business differentiator for hotel properties.”

If you have to travel frequently, you know the best hotel rooms have the best connections to the Internet, preferably complimentary. The television and phone services are a great touch as well, providing comfort and convenience for any staying in the room, which makes for happier customers and a better stay for everyone.
