Hearsay Social Announces Two New Executives

By Oliver VanDervoort, Contributing Writer

Hearsay Social is one of the newer social sales and marketing companies in the market, but that doesn't mean the site hasn't already claimed to have some explosive customer growth. The company just announced some executive moves designed to make the company that much stronger including bringing over a former founding executive of Google (News - Alert), Michael Lock. Lock will serve as Hearsay Social's chief operating officer. The company also poached a former Microsoft vet in Mark Gilbert. Gilbert has been named as Hearsay's vice president of product.

Lock has served more than 25 years in the technology and computing market, including the last eight with Google as head of its enterprise division. Lock's work was imperative in making Gmail and Google Drive part of the solutions that companies cannot live without when using Google as part of their enterprise package. Gilbert has worked for more than 15 years in the tech sector. Gilbert's biggest role with Microsoft (News - Alert) was building up the brand in foreign markets such as Europe and Asia.

Hearsay Social says that the two men will now be working to bring social sales and marketing to a new level by bringing new technologies to the field that will in turn bring in top line revenue growth. Hearsay works to help enterprise companies take better advantage of social media.

Hearsay Social CEO Clara Shih recently released a statement heralding the two new hires."Michael Lock and Mark Gilbert are world-class leaders and incredible technology visionaries who created products loved by millions, their leadership and breadth of enterprise product experience will drive transformational innovation for the industry and Hearsay Social's customers."

Among the tools the company has recently rolled out for enterprise clients is it's Cloud Compliance solution for Salesforce.com (News - Alert). This tool is geared toward allowing companies that exist in the healthcare, retail and financial industries to better take advantage of social media of enterprise and cloud based tech.
