Buying gifts for friends and family who lead different lifestyles can be frustrating—for a single woman living in the city, purchasing a baby shower gift for her sister who is living in the suburbs with a husband, and two children can be foreign. Recognizing this, Sincerely, Inc. has announced a new way for people to give personal gift sets that won’t disappoint the recipient and won’t give the shopper a headache.
Sincerely has launched a new app, Sesame, which allows users to purchase and send what the company describes as “expertly designed, themed gift sets” straight from their mobile phone or tablet—meaning that city-slicking sister can purchase a gift set on her morning commute. During the holiday season, not having to search for the perfect gift or stand in interminable lines at the post office will be a welcome relief.
In a statement announcing the launch of Sesame, the company promised to “take the guessing out of gift-giving” with sets that are created by experts and the community.
They assure gift-givers, “If you don’t know what to get a single girl living in the city, no worries. The Cocktail Hour gift set was curated by a single girl living in San Francisco.” They continued, “Or if you don’t know what to send a new mom, The Baby Playdate set was hand-picked by the mommy experts at Citrust Lane.” If their gift sets get your creative juices flowing, users can submit their ideas for new gift sets, and those that are chosen will be featured in the app.
Even after the holiday season, this will be a helpful tool for those impossible-to-buy for birthdays, baby showers, and other events.
