London-based cloud management company Flexiant has been named as the “trendsetter” among nine vendors evaluated in the cloud management market by Info-Tech Research Group.

Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator achieved the highest rating in areas including usability, affordability, architecture and strategy, and was rated “exemplary” by Info-Tech Research Group.

Info-Tech’s report, “Vendor Landscape: Cloud Management Solutions,” highlighted Flexiant’s strengths including standout dashboard customizability, flexible and integrated billing capabilities, quota and permission management, and alerts tied to resource utilization and flexible deployment options with multi-hypervisor support, according to Chris O’Connor, senior research analyst at Info-Tech Research Group.

“Flexiant’s unique customization and white labeling, integrated billing, and its ability to support multiple hypervisors, make it a standout solution that’s ahead of the curve in advanced features,” O’Connor said in a statement. “Flexiant provides a great all-in-one solution for service providers.”

Flexiant was recognized as a solution of choice for service providers, such as hosting and telco companies, that want to quickly build a cloud services business.

The award acknowledges Flexiant’s ability to help solve service providers’ cloud management challenges, according to George Knox, CEO of Flexiant.

“Receiving ‘Innovator’ status and the trendsetter award is an acknowledgement of Flexiant’s ability to solve service providers’ cloud management problems today. For service providers, this means being able to differentiate in a competitive market, while also having a platform that can scale to meet demand,” Knox said. “No matter where you are in the world, the most innovative, exemplary and trendsetting cloud management solution is available to you. We will help you quickly build a cloud services business today that customers will love.”

Info-Tech Research Group evaluated nine major vendors including Abiquo, CA Technologies (News - Alert), Citrix, Eucalyptus, Nimbula, OpenStack, Virtustream and VMware. Products were evaluated based on features, usability, affordability and architecture.

In related news, recent Gartner (News - Alert) research revealed that in searching for the best cloud management platform, customers should first and foremost look for one that boasts the ability to unify existing management software with their cloud management, TMCnet reported.
