Start Your Thanksgiving Prep (or Procrastination) Early with Turkey Stuffin'

By Rich Steeves, TMCnet Web Editor

What do you think about as Thanksgiving draws near? Are you excited for high school or NFL football games? Are you looking forward to seeing Santa make his appearance in the Macy’s Parade? Or are you, perhaps, looking forward to stuffing a giant turkey full of yams, rosemary, finger foods condiments and silverware? Wait – silverware?!

Well, if the above sounds palatable to you, you might want to go see a gastroenterologist on Nov. 23. But if it sounds funny, then you just might be the target audience for a new smartphone game, Turkey Stuffin’, from indiePub Entertainment -- that is, if you don’t mind virtually stuffing items in a turkey’s butt.

The game, which is available now for 99 cents via the Google (News - Alert) Play and Amazon Appstores, gives you 30 seconds to cram as much stuff as you can into a poor piece of poultry. Your goal is to create the fattest turkey possible in levels with clever names such as “The Turdrunken,” “Fowl Language,” “Return to Sender” and “Butter Ball.”

Items to stuff into the bird include electronics, cutlery and all sorts of foods. The turkey itself is a whacky illustrated character that makes plenty of silly sounds. You can even share your scores with friends – but I’d advise against sharing your recipes. It’s all fun and games until someone bites into a drumstick and cuts a tooth on an MP3 Player. Oh and, just in case it needs to be said, don’t try this at home.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to plan my next meal. What kind of wine do I pare with spork stuffing?
