Syniverse (News
- Alert) recently announced that the company is adding two more Points of Presence or POPs of its IPX network in Mumbai and Bangalore in India. The new POPs are intended to increase its worldwide growth, boost customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
Alfred de Cárdenas, COO of Syniverse, feels that since the Indian telecommunication market consists of a multitude of different types of network and 4G is impending, IPX networking is the only method to exchange data between different networks providing mobile services in India. IPX connectivity from Syniverse helps companies to reduce costs since the linking is closer in proximity to the area of operation. It also improves the customer experience due to the confinement of network traffic. In addition, using a single link from the POPs at Mumbai and Bangalore, mobile service providers will be able to tap into the global service network in IP, 3G and 4G services.
The Prime IPX Solution from Syniverse converges existing requirements and future needs for connectivity in IP based services, while providing effortless changeover to IP services like VoIP and LTE (News - Alert). Syniverse’s approach to provide multiple services for a single connection decreases expenses and increases operational competence, since it decreases the quantity of network connections handled by MSPs. Presently, prime IPX solution provides services to over 80 mobile service providers globally.
The MSPs operating in India will save considerable costs by using the Prime IPX Solution since they will no longer need to pay for expenses incurred for handling IPX connection beyond their service areas. Customers will benefit since roaming takes place using local connectivity, thus lessening delays in connectivity while increasing quality at the same time.
The service dependability of Prime IPX Solution is beyond comparison as it is supported by 18 datacenters in three continents, which include the new POPs installed at Mumbai and New Delhi. The service network of Syniverse is monitored round the clock through its command centers located in Bangalore, India and Tampa, Florida.
John Wick, Senior VP of Syniverse for its Network Solutions (News - Alert), stated that due to unprecedented demands for faultless and uninterrupted online mobile services, MSPs are looking for futuristic approaches to provide advanced networking services to customers with the utmost in efficiency. He said that substantial infrastructure investments made in India and across the world will ensure that the solutions provided by Syniverse offer maximum support to its mobile customers.
