Mountain View, Calif.-based Polaris Wireless has been included in the sixth annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

Acquired in 2005 by Mansueto Ventures, Inc., the company is dedicated exclusively to owners and managers of growing private companies, aiming to deliver real solutions for today’s innovative company builders. The 2012 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011.

In order to qualify, the companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2008. Additionally, they had to be based in the United States, privately held, for profit and independent – not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies – as of December 31, 2011.

Noting that the company’s robust growth is a direct result of its patented, industry-leading technology, unique product capabilities and global deployments, Allegra said that they intend to continue building on their success by expanding into new markets worldwide.

The company earns revenue mainly from its OmniLocate universal location platform, and Altus intelligent surveillance application. These two products feature Polaris Wireless Location Signatures technology, which identifies the location of a wireless device to within 50 meters.

In addition, Polaris Wireless also provides its customers regular product enhancements and updates, as well as 24/7 technical and operational support. Company officials said that in the previous year, they achieved a major increase in sales bookings, which set a company record with a year-over-year quadrupling of sales bookings and revenue increase of approximately 30 percent.

Earlier this month, Polaris Wireless completed successful field trials with a Tier 1 Indian wireless operator.
