Contractors and customers can now rely on new videos, diagrams and equipment lists released recently by Leviton that helps them to seamlessly integrate iPhone (News - Alert) and Android smartphones and other media-streaming devices into a home network.

The company’s main aim was to offer step by step instructions to the users to connect devices using a set-top box like Roku or Apple TV, or through a Wi-Fi connection using an Apple AirPort Express or AirPlay (News - Alert)-enabled receiver.

The company officials said that they have even introduced new wiring scenarios to provide smartphone convenience and connected home performance. These are specifically aimed to offer Leviton Structured Media enclosure, which serves as the nerve center of the home network – the hub for Internet, video, voice and multi-room audio distribution.

"Starting with a Leviton Structured Media enclosure makes the initial installation quicker and easier," said Yuna Shin, connected home product manager for Leviton Network Solutions (News - Alert). "It also provides homeowners with a unique opportunity to easily make moves, additions or changes as their home network evolves."

Using this, the users can connect to Leviton connectivity equipment such as network routers, audio modules and speakers to easily share music, videos and photos throughout their entire home network.

Leviton Network Solutions delivers complete network infrastructure systems for enterprise, data center, government, education, health care and residential markets around the globe. Solutions include copper and fiber optic connectivity, power distribution units, and much more.

The company recently announced the launch of the Mobile Device Station. The new product is a convenient wall-mounted cradle that provides storage for mobile devices and their charging cables. The innovative Mobile Device Station easily attaches to a single-gang electrical box or low voltage mud-ring without requiring a double-gang box or any new holes in the wall.
