- Alert) Gold Partner and IT Professional Services firm, B2B Technologies has announced the addition of Windows Intune to its Cloud Service Offerings.
Introduced by Microsoft in the middle of 2011, Intune allows for the remote management of PCs from any web-based console. The solution is also designed to improve PC and software licensing inventories, deploy most updates, provide malware and virus monitoring and protection and maintain line of business applications through the cloud.
"B2B is excited about adding Intune as an extension to our Microsoft Cloud Services and our on-premise System Center offerings. As with Office 365 and SCCM, Intune enables us to assist our clients in choosing, implementing, and utilizing the best solution, cloud or on-premise, for all infrastructure needs," said Tonya Smith, Director of Consulting with B2B Technologies, in a company statement.
While the increased ease of PC management and productivity enhancements are strong selling points for the Intune solution, true cost savings are also enabled. Based on the result from a Microsoft commissioned study, the company found that companies can save as much as $702 per PC per year with Windows Intune.
The study evaluated savings from the standpoint of user productivity, as well as IT labor reductions. Results also highlighted that Intune can effectively reduce costs by enabling the management of multiple devices and operating systems, minimizing the need for specialized equipment to address a diversified workforce.
B2B is quick to stress that Intune is still in its first year, allowing for significant room to evolve and allow for product education. To help in the process, the company is offering a webinar on March 14th to provide a complete overview and live demo.
While the Intune announcement is a powerful one for B2B, GlobalOne is making its own mark in a dynamic industry. Don’t forget to check out the quick video above to learn more.
