Minnesota Contract Manufacturers, Machine Shops Meet MFG.com Standards
Several Minnesota contract manufacturers have been approved to be included in the MFG.com marketplace.
"As we welcome these extremely qualified Minnesota contract manufacturers into the MFG.com manufacturing ecosystem, it is important to note their great achievement in passing the quality standards required for admission into the marketplace," Mitch Free, founder and CEO of MFG.com, said in a company statement carried by SFGate.com.
"These job shops represent the caliber of supplier that the hundreds of thousands of product manufacturers who use MFG.com every day for sourcing and supplier discovery have come to expect.”
One of the firms was Haberman Machine, which is an AS9100 and ISO 9001:2008 certified machine shop in Oakdale. Another one was Caztek Engineering, which is a design, engineering and product development company located in Saint Paul. It provides services for the medical, aerospace and industrial sectors. In addition, ABM Machine and Fab is a precision machine shop in Hastings. And Beaver Machine & Tool, in Minneapolis, has been manufacturing precision machined parts and assemblies since 1965. Also, Miller Machine Company is a machine shop in Becker. In business since 1944, it handles different levels of manufacturing.
“MFG.com is recognized for being the largest and highest quality marketplace for manufacturing services such as CNC machining, metal fabrication, casting and custom packaging,” Free added in an MFG.com press release.
MFG.com is a global sourcing marketplace for manufacturing. It has a supplier database including machine shops, fabricators, injection molders and contract manufacturers, according to a report appearing on TMCnet. MFG.com has members in 50 nations and is based in Atlanta. It was founded in 2000. It is believed to be the biggest online, worldwide marketplace for manufacturers who need custom parts, standard components, assemblies and textiles, according to information posted on the company’s website. It has over 200,000 members globally.
