Enghouse Highlights New Branding at ITEXPO East

By Paula Bernier, Executive Editor, TMC

Enterprise software solutions provider Enghouse (News - Alert) Networks is using ITEXPO East 2012 this week in Miami to emphasize its new branding strategy, which brings everything under the umbrella of the Enghouse brand.

Enghouse announced the new branding strategy in November, but ITEXPO (News - Alert) East is the first event at which the company has exhibited under the new branding.

The company currently consists of three groups: the networks group, which delivers telecom routing solutions, and asset management related to copper, fiber and wireless networks; the interactive group, which provides call center solutions; and the transportation group, which deals in fleet management solutions.

At ITEXPO East, TMCnet spoke with Kolu Jeganathan, sales engineer, and Kevin Kent, director of sales, for the networks group.

The networks group sells primarily into telecom companies, but also provides its solutions to cities and utilities with their own fiber networks. Enghouse delivers customized versions of its off-the-shelf software solutions to such organizations.

The routing software makes sure traffic flows in an optimal way, and can be used in environments involving both legacy and IP-based networks. The asset management solutions include both software that can help identify copper and fiber breaks, and that help inventory wireline and wireless assets.

Jeganathan says Enghouse has been active in helping carriers migrate easily from legacy to IP networks so they can use a single platform to deliver many services. Kent adds that companies are very cautious about how they spend their money to ensure they buy the right solutions; Enghouse, he says, helps them save money.

That value proposition has enabled Enghouse to build its business, which started in 1984, to a $100 million-plus business. The company hit the $100 million revenue milestone last year, when it announced $122.6 million in revenue for the 2011 fiscal year. For the fourth quarter, revenue was $31.8 million, compared to $27.4 million reported in the same period the previous year.

To find out more about Enghouse, visit the company at ITEXPO East 2012. Happening now at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami, Fla., ITEXPO is the world’s premier IP communications event. Visit Enghouse in booth #441. For more information on ITEXPO registration, click here.
