NACT Lets Service Providers Offer Prepaid Pinless Functionality

By Tracey E. Schelmetic, TMCnet Contributor

As IP telephony technology flourishes and the marketplace fills with innovative solutions, customers expectations are also flourishing. Telecom customers today expect the flexibility to choose from a full range of services, and they demand account access and control. Service providers, for their part, are under increasing pressure to provide customers with the functionality they expect at competitive prices. While one way to do this is to establish a pre-paid distribution system, it hasn't been terribly easy up until now.

Prepaid telephony solutions provider NACT (News - Alert) has advanced the tools in service providers' toolboxes to accomplish this with a new release: NACT Pinless Plus Web Portal for the distribution of prepaid pinless telephony products online or at the storefront. The Pinless Plus Web Portal, which is being introduced at ITEXPO (News - Alert) East this week in Miami, was created to provide all of the functionality needed to sell prepaid pinless services, namely international cell phone top-up and regular calling cards, both via e-commerce or at the store front, through the new Web portal. Pinless hard cards can also be purchased at the storefront; these do not require the use of the web portal, yet end users can still manage their accounts on the web after the purchase.

The new solution, which can be provided under the service provider’s own brand, was designed to facilitate a number of customer actions: simple online sign-up and processing capabilities; ACH, credit card or cash payment methods for distributors and agents; full reporting capabilities; IVR processing; and text message and email confirmations.

NACT’s Pinless Plus, multi-tiered Web portal is targeted toward master distributors, multiple distributors and agents, and storefronts that sell telephony products to end users. Pinless Plus takes care of all commission tracking, from the selling point back up through the entire chain, ensuring that everyone gets paid on a continual basis, regardless of how an account is recharged after the initial sale, says the company.

“We have the largest installed base of any company in the prepaid telecom industry, and we’re proud to offer this product, which will enable our customers to create new profitable revenue streams,” said Arnie Goodstein (News - Alert), President of NACT Solutions. “The Pinless Plus Web Portal helps service providers grow their revenues, retain customers through simple recharge processes, and it’s clean – the end-user product doesn’t need to be printed, which also helps to reduce costs.”

NACT is showcasing the new Portal this week at ITEXPO (booth # 440) in Miami
