Razorsight to Automate Network Cost Management Functions for NTS


Provider of triple-play services NTS (News - Alert) Communications reportedly has selected Razorsight to automate its network cost management functions and provide related analytic capabilities.



 
With Razorsight’s (News - Alert) solution, NTS will be able to realize the blend of internal staff and systems to achieve the “maximum” Network Cost Score, according to Razorsight officials.
 
Razorsight provides on-demand financial business intelligence solutions for communications, media and entertainment companies. The company’s Network Cost Score is a formula to benchmark how communications service providers balance the blend of internal staff costs, systems, and third-party providers to obtain low network costs.
 
The Fairfax, Virginia company’s Web-based AIM solution was selected after an extensive evaluation of other solutions, said Brad Worthington, COO at NTS. He said that the solution was chosen because it provides the “best capabilities” not only today, but also for future growth in business that NTS expects to achieve.
 
The so-called “AIM Capture” solution creates an electronic network cost management process which integrates all cost data into a single database for auditing. Officials said that the zero touch automation frees staff to perform functions such as network optimization, inventory verification, claims negotiations and settlements.
 
AIM Analytics offers a combined approach to network cost automation and business intelligence. AIM Analytics enables NTS to conduct on-demand, automated audits of every dollar spent on the network every month. In addition, AIM Analytics automates the process of generating monthly financial reports.
 
The AIM Capture and Analytics, according to Charlie Thomas (News - Alert), CEO at Razorsight, will provide NTS Communications a “greater competitive edge” through lowering operational costs, and dashboards.
 
Also, Thomas said, the reports will offer management with a better understanding of their cost structure to make more informed business decisions as their network grows.
 
NTS delivers voice, video and data services through their fiber to the premise network. Xfone (News - Alert) acquired the company in 2008 and as integration activities began, the company realized that legacy cost management solutions were not able to accurately manage combined assets.
 
With Razorsight’s AIM solution, NTS Communications said that it’s able to gain 100 percent visibility into network cost details with zero touch. Earlier, it was a lengthy, manual process.
