Exploring the Many Meanings of Enterprise BYOD

The last thing you need to stumble upon when surfing the Web is yet another article discussing the growth of the enterprise bring your own device (BYOD) movement and its importance for providing a competitive edge. Sure, this is true (in fact, many companies have seen productivity increase by almost one-fifth thanks to enhanced mobile working efforts and telecommuters are almost twice as likely to work more than 40 hours per week) what’s more important is how you can sharpen your company’s enterprise BYOD strategy for optimum success.
You have also likely heard how BYOD is not a one-size-fits-all strategy. In other words, if the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t wear it. We all know that BYOD stands for “bring your own device,” but we thought it would be fun (and helpful) for you to re-think the acronym of BYOD when fleshing your very own strategy out. As we said, BYOD isn’t one-size-fits-all, so why should the acronym only mean one thing?
