  • Edify Corporation, a global provider of Internet and voice e-commerce portal solutions, announced that Stephanie A. Vinella, the company's vice president of finance and chief financial officer has resigned effective August 26, 1999.

  • Aspect Telecommunications Corporation, a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, announced that Hank Delevati has been named senior vice president, Information Technology and chief information officer, reporting to James R. Carreker, Aspect's chairman and chief executive officer. Delevati will be responsible for integrating Aspect's IT functions with the company's business strategy and deploying Aspect's CRM solutions within the company's own customer service centers and internal operating centers.

  • VillageFax.com, a provider of business-to-business Internet-enabled fax service announces John Russell as vice president of sales for North America. Russell has been charged with new business and channel development in the highly competitive fax messaging industry.

  • Millennium Teleservices, a teleservices marketing company specializing in outbound, inbound and convergent e-bound marketing solutions, has recently hired Daniel Akre as their new senior vice president of sales and marketing. Dan comes to Millennium from both ITI Marketing and APAC Customer Services where he served as the vice president of sales.

  • Locus Dialogue Inc. announced that Christopher Thompson has joined the company as vice president of marketing strategy. Locus Dialogue provides innovative automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology, focusing on commercialized speech applications and technology partnerships that meet the needs of this growing market.

  • SSH Communications Security Ltd. (SSH), a leading supplier of security for virtual private networks (VPNs), announced that it is a founding member of the Virtual Private Network Consortium (VPNC), an industry association. The VPNC was formed to serve as a forum for VPN manufacturers and to increase interoperability among the products of member companies.

    In addition, SSH announced that Rodney Thayer, SSH director of technology, was elected to the board of the new consortium.  Thayer has played a key role in the establishment of the VPNC.

  • George H. Dobrowski has joined Ficon Technology Inc. as chief technology officer. Ficon Technology provides products and engineering services to equipment vendors and silicon vendors in next-generation networking and communication technologies such as IP routing and switching, ATM, frame relay, and voice over packet.

  • Value-added reseller  Interactive Voice Technologies has changed its formal company name to VoiceTelligence. A US-based reseller and consultant of computer telephony and Web-based solutions, VoiceTelligence represents such industry leaders as PRIMA and APEX Voice Communications.

  • Tioga Systems, a leader in e-support solutions, announced the appointment of Radha Ramaswami Basu as president and chief executive officer. Basu's focus is to grow Tioga's e-support business and to scale the company to meet the growing demand for the company's Internet support infrastructure.

  • VIP Calling, Inc., a leader in Internet-based communications for international service providers, announced that the company has changed its name to iBasis, a name that highlights the company’s focus on the emerging opportunities in Internet-based communications services.

  • IMA, a provider of enterprise customer interaction software for call center automation, announced the promotion of Glenda O'Neill to vice president of marketing. O' Neill will oversee the company's domestic and international marketing activities, reporting to James Anderson, senior vice president of worldwide sales.

    The company also announced the resignation of Kian Saneii, senior vice president of worldwide marketing for IMA.

  • Davox Corporation, a leading developer of customer contact solutions, announced that James T. Pepe will be joining the firm September 7 as senior vice president of research and development. A former executive at Gensym Corporation of Cambridge, Mass., Pepe will be responsible for leading Davox's research and development efforts, with particular emphasis on the company's evolving suite of customer contact solutions.
