Tap is Now Shipping

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tap Systems, Inc., the company behind the Tap wearable keyboard and mouse, announced today that the Tap strap is officially out of preorder and is shipping. All consumers who preordered a Tap have started to receive their devices, with all orders slated to be fulfilled within the next week. Tap's technology has been in development for over two years. Pre orders for the Tap strap opened to the public in November of 2017, when the Company showcased the finished product and accompanying apps.

Tap is available for purchase today at: https://www.tapwithus.com

Tap is a comfortable wearable that sits at the base of your fingers and senses finger taps as input. Tap works with any Bluetooth enabled device such as smartphones, tablets, desktop and laptop computers, as well as smart TVs. With Tap, users can compose text, play games, point, click and scroll using just about any available surface.

It takes users less than an our to learn to tap using the TapGenius app. The TapGenius learning system breaks down the alphabet into eight easy to remember "tap-sets." The app combines musical and visual mnemonic tutorials for each set as well as engaging game-play. Tap also provides an auditory learning system, TapAloud, for visually disabled tappers.

Tap was developed by veteran entrepreneurs Dovid Schick and Sabrina Kemeny

Sabrina was a co-inventor of the CMOS camera chip - the underlying technology behind all modern digital imaging. She is the founder and former CEO of Photobit, which commercialized the CMOS camera technology. Dovid, the inventor of Tap, is the founder and former CEO of Schick Technologies, which pioneered digital imaging in medicine and dentistry.

"Tap represents an entirely new way to interact with our digital world," said Dovid Schick, CEO and Founder of Tap Systems. "Tapping is a fast, precise, natural human motion and we have developed the technology to harness this ability to turn any surface into a keyboard, mouse or game controller."

"It's amazing to see people using Tap for the first time," said Sabrina Kemeny, Co-Founder of Tap Systems. "They immediately know that this is the input technology of the future. It's a feeling of being freed from hunching over your keyboard or holding your phone up to your eyes. Tap makes interacting with your phones and digital devices a more natural, organic experience."

Because tapping is tactile, Tap users do not need to see the surface they are using. This makes Tap a unique solution for everyone from visually disabled users, to virtual reality gamers. Tap can act as an easy method to enter text on mobile devices as well as a futuristic game controller.

The Company has also released three mobile games which give users a taste of the unique experience of gaming with Tap (TapTapbunny, TapLoops and TapChase). Tap Systems currently offers game developers Unity™ plugins for iOS and Android systems, and supports single and multiplayer games. Many developers have already noted a wide variety of applications that benefit from the versatile new interface.
