Innovant Launches Project IMPACT in Delhi

DELHI, February 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ --

Innovant, Aeris Communication and The IET, to work together in the Phase 1 of the project 

Innovant, with the support of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Future of Mobility and Transport Panel and Aeris, launched the Phase 1 of Project IMPACT (Innovative Mobility for People Advancement through Communications and Technology), at the IEI Centre, New Delhi. IIT BHU is the Incubation Partner and Saraswati Seva Foundation is the Social Impact partner for the project. At the event, Innovant showcased its e-rickshaw project, a sustainability initiative that is enabled with IoT kits and other functionalities for rural India. The program is aimed at improving the livelihood in rural India and increase the living index parameters.

 Project IMPACT will be led by Innovant International, which is working towards developing cost effective scalable technology solutions for Agriculture, Alternative Energy, Waste Management and Environment spaces; and powered with IoT Platform by Aeris, a pioneer and leader in the Internet of Things (IoT) market, committed to utilize its IoT technologies to improve the lives of those most in need and to foster better utilization of the planet's scarce resources, under the aegis of its CSR global practice.

 Speaking at the launch of the project, Vivek Singh said, "e-Mobility could truly be a game changer for rural and semi-urban skilling and employment.  Project IMPACT is an effort towards wrapping the best-breed technologies with sunrise industries such as e-Mobility to create supply-chain linkages, e-health diagnostics, Government policy dissemination, Farm facilitation."

 Dr Rahul Singh, Chairman, SSF which is the social impact partner for Project IMPACT said "Social context will build the idea in rural areas starting with health services and agriculture outcome support; SSF will take this to Eastern and Western UP networks and build a chain of development sector and social enterprise networks for delivery of services. It will help in creating more employment and develop authentic rural data."

 The IET will be the programme partner for Project IMPACT. Taking on its role as a neutral commentator and a credible authoritative voice, The IET is also in the process of forming 'Future of Mobility and Transport' panel which will focus on various mobility technologies. Led by Mr Mustafa Wajid, CEO, Meher Group, the panel will have three vertical based working groups in the sector - Urban mobility, Rural mobility and Freight.




 With the IET's deep roots in the UK, various stakeholders from the UK transport and mobility sector will play a significant role as advisors to the panel. The working group will focus on issues and roadmap for Rural India Mobility.

 Commenting on the launch, Mustafa Wajid said, "Efficient, sustainable Mobility and transport solutions are key to accelerating India's economic progress & creating vast number of jobs. The challenges to achieve this are diverse & complex. This is even more so due to the interweaving of emerging technologies such as e-transportation, digitisation & electric road systems. The mobility & transportation needs in rural India are very unique. Judicious application of engineering & technology combined with different business models can boost rural incomes. The support to this project is part of the IET's larger focus within its "Future of Mobility and Transport Panel."

 As a Principlal Sponsor of the IoT Technology, Aeris will support Pilot Phase of Project IMPACT in eastern UP with SSF and Innovant International. The company will back the project with complete mobile application development for the healthcare, agriculture facilitation, policy dissemination and skill development tracks including the tools to communicate and analyse data with its data management platform. As part of the project, Aeris will also implement a fully-operational, tested and optimized IoT solution for healthcare and vehicle tracking incorporating connected hardware devices and data connectivity.
