Kentucky Motor Vehicle Commission Launches Online Dealer License Renewal

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the Kentucky Department of Vehicle Regulation, and the Kentucky Motor Vehicle Commission recently launched a new online license renewal application that offers new vehicle dealers an easier and more efficient way to renew their dealer and salesperson licenses.

The application provides a one-stop online process for dealers to renew their dealer license, renew their salesperson license, and upload proof of insurance certificates directly to the online application. Dealers can now print their dealer and salesperson licenses on demand, directly from the application. Dealerships have the ability to pay for their licenses via credit card or ACH.

"This administration is committed to making it both easier and less costly to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky," said Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Secretary Greg Thomas. "This new portal will hopefully accomplish both of these goals, easing the process for car dealers and reducing administrative costs within government. We are working hard every day so that Kentucky taxpayers will see more modernization improvements in the near future benefiting both individuals and businesses."

The online license renewal application is presented in a responsive design, ensuring users are able to access the orms across multiple devices.

The application was built for the Kentucky Motor Vehicle Commission by Frankfort-based Kentucky Interactive, LLC, aka Kentucky.gov, via a public-private partnership.
