Asurion and Claro Expand Partnership, Bringing Device Protection to Customers in Peru
Claro, one of Peru's largest mobile phone services providers, and
Asurion (News - Alert), a world leader in technology protection services, have
partnered to launch Mobile Protection, which will provide device
protection for customer's mobile devices on post-paid plans. Customers
enrolled will get a replacement device in the event theirs is stolen,
damaged or malfunctions.

great coverage for their devices, as well as a convenient and

Mobile Protection service is initially available in Lima, however it
will be enabled soon at national level. On average, customers will pay
between S /. 18 and S /. 45 per month depending on the value of their

physical damage (including water damage), theft, and eectrical or
mechanical failure.

Quick replacement: Customers can report their claim in a fast
and easy way and obtain a replacement device.

Cost savings: Claro customers are spared paying the high full
retail price of replacing their device. Instead, those enrolled pay a
deductible based on the value of the device and the peril type.
